Being a Creative Entrepreneur

Mariana is the founder and owner of Klæy Kreative. Having explored many different paths – from corporate roles to creative work as a model and photographer – she gained a unique perspective that shaped the vision behind Klæy Kreative: a welcoming space where people can slow down, create, and spend meaningful time together.

Traveling the world, discovering different cultures, and moving to Denmark – her partner’s home country – exposed her to a completely different way of living. The Danish lifestyle, centered around work-life balance, family, and hygge, was a strong contrast to the stress-driven environment she knew in Portugal. This experience encouraged her to slow down, value quiet moments, and create more space for creativity in her life.

After some years abroad, she returned to Portugal with a renewed perspective, blending Scandinavian intentional living with minimalist aesthetics. From this, Klæy Kreative was born – a space designed for people to explore their creativity and enjoy meaningful time away from daily distractions.

Together with her partner, she built almost everything by herself, with hard work, resilience, and dedication, opening the first studio in 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
More than a place for art, Mariana envisioned a community where people feel at home, a place to pause, connect, and be present. She understands how rare it can be for people in Portugal to truly have time for themselves or their loved ones, and wanted to create a space that gently encourages that reconnection.

Mariana’s goal is to offer a warm and inspiring environment where creativity is open to everyone, regardless of experience.
